Books and beer
Central Rappahannock Regional Library and Adventure Brewing are starting a book club themed around beer.
Here’s the books that will be read as part of the club:
Aug. 21: A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson
Sept. 18: The Woman in Black by Susan Hill
Oct. 16: The Hound of Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Nov. 20: The Tender Bar by J.R. Moehringer
Christie Hoerneman, the head of adult research at the England Run branch, tells us that she thought starting this club for the library would be a great way to introdcue people to some new books, library services and new beers. She says she’s a book and beer enthusiast herself. The library hopes to have one book per quarter in the club that will focus on beer. In this selection, it’s The Tender Bar, by J.R. Moehringer.
There will be a welcome meeting July 17. All of the meetings will be held at 7 p.m. at Adventure Brewing Company, 33 Perchwood Drive.
