Dare to love
Author gives eight-point plan that will help you day-to-day
By Beverly Meyer
The Free Lance-Star
YOU CAN buy a plaque for your kitchen or a needlepoint kit to sew to remind yourself, but Ed Bacon’s new book will spell out how to actually live it. Live with love, that is.
Offering eight “habits” as a playbook toward success in enriching your emotional wellbeing, Bacon says to practice these habits every day, and, by doing so, remove or ameliorate feelings of anger, fear, insecurity or sadness.
He begins with the habit of “generosity”—live with an open and generous heart. Give others the benefit of the doubt, loosen the tight grip with which we hold ourselves, see the world from others’ perspectives. In doing so we bestow generosity of spirit upon others, and receive a flow of blessings back upon ourselves.
Imagine the benefits then compounded with other habits: stillness, truth, candor, play, forgiveness, compassion and community.
Written by a man of insight and knowledge, this book has the power to illuminate truths about ourselves and how we live our lives, thus paving the path for improvement.
