PETER CIHELKA / THE FREE LANCE-STAR

A man dressed in a gorilla suit walks along Princess Anne Street in Fredericksburg on Tuesday. The man, who would not give his name, said he donned the gorilla suit because he lost a bet while playing poker with a group of friends.

“We never play for money,” he said.

He had to wear the suit in downtown for 15 minutes as a result of losing the bet.

The seventh annual Some Gave All Frazier Mason Ride took place today. The ride started at Spotsylvania High School and ended with a festival and bike show at King George High School. The Some Gave All Foundation was established in 2007 in memory of Army Sgt. Nicholas Conan Mason of King George and Marine Sgt. Joshua James Frazier of Spotsylvania. Both men were killed in the line of duty in Iraq. The foundation honors these men and all others who have been wounded or killed in service to their country. (Photos by Austin Bachand / The Free Lance-Star)

Free Lance-Star photojournalists Peter Cihelka, Reza Marvasthi, Suzanne Carr Rossi, and intern Elijah Nouvelage spent time covering the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Chancellorsville with their iPhones and the Hipstamatic photo app. Using the “tintype” setting, the photographers were able to capture the modern re-enactment in a more historically accurate fashion.
