Visitors to Sunken Road follow the walking tour titled “Attacking Marye’s Heights: Sacrificing to win,” a two-hour tour that began at City Dock and ended at Sunken Road where early in the day, 150 years ago, Union troops began to attack Marye’s Heights in effort to draw away from farther attacks to the south.
