Vic Ramoneda is weathering the economic storm as a stave mill operator in Catalpa. As wineries and distilleries tighten their belts, orders for his White Oak staves have dropped off, but he continues to produce the wood to fill orders from Chile to Japan. Photographed at the Ramoneda Brothers Stave Mill in Culpeper county on Tuesday February 1, 2011.
