LDS Church to host family history event

FH-LogoThe Fredericksburg Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter–day Saints will host a genealogy event Saturday.

The event will feature 20 workshops to help attendees learn how to find past generations.

The keynote speaker will be Greg Crawford, the local records program manager with the Library of Virginia.

An expert on the Lost Records Project, Crawford will discuss the technique of seeking alternative resources when the usual genealogical records are unavailable.

The event is free and will be held at the LDS church, 1710 Bragg Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
