Lots to Pray For
A group of young evangelicals has named tomorrow a Day of Prayer for God’s Creation. A Christian student group called Renewal: Students Caring for Creation has formed the prayer initiative encouraging people to pray for the environment. Interested in praying for something else, while you’re at it? Strong Tower Ministries in southern Stafford County will host a community prayer each night through Monday, Nov. 3. Prayers will be offered for the upcoming election at 10 p.m. nightly at the church at 234 Ferry Road. For details, call the church at 540/374-1588.
And the Church of the Messiah in Spotsylvania County will have an all-day prayer for the country on Election Day, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the church on Spotswood Furnace Lane. For details, visit the church’s Web site or call the church at 540/786-3100.
