Micah on the Move

Micah Ecumenical Ministries moved its hospitality center this week from Trinity Episcopal Church to its new location at 1013 Princess Anne St. Because Micah staff knew they’d be moving at the end of the summer, members stopped collecting donations earlier this season. Now, their supplies for the homeless are pretty low. So, the faith-based group needs the following:

Late summer/fall clothing for men and women (men’s clothing sizes 30-38 needed the most)
White Crew or tube socks
Disposable razors and shaving cream
Travel size conditioner, shampoo and soap
NEW Men’s briefs and boxers
NEW Women’s cotton underwear
Batteries (All sizes)
Backpacks (New or gently used)
Men’s white T-shirts
Small battery operated radios or alarm clocks
Feminine products
Toilet paper
Towels and Washcloths
Plastic Bags
Copy machine
Two clothes dryers
Washing machine
Drop off donations Monday through Friday at the new location, or this Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For details, or before dropping off any large items, call 540/479-4116.
