Sex and heaven
I usually check religion blogs for story ideas. The past two weeks, I was too busy working on a project (which should be on tomorrow’s front page unless there’s some breaking news today) and didn’t make my rounds until last night. I missed an interesting question from a blog on beliefnet that would have been perfect for my story on sex and religion: Is there sex in heaven? I never even thought to ask that one. The writer believes the Bible says there is no marriage in heaven but doesn’t think that automatically means there is no sex. I’ve heard both sides of the marriage argument, so I’m sure that not everyone would agree with him on that one. But I thought the question would provoke some interesting thoughts and I’d pass them on. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter, but I’ve gotten used to not getting any responses from the blog. .
Also, today’s Religion section introduced a new feature: Revelations. It’s a photo essay. Today’s was on the Jesus Jubilee. Next week is the 12th anniversary of the Gospel bluegrass concert series. It will last from noon to 6 and feature music from:
Jesus Jubilee Singers, Amy Williams, The Coachmen, Calvary’s Mercy, Michael Birchfield and The Ruppes. For more details, visit www.jesusjubilee.org.
And if you have an idea for a Revelations feature, email me at email@example.com.
